The migrant caravan The migrant caravan demonstrates the humanitarian crisis that exists in the world today, we had seen it years ago with African migrants trying to enter Europe and now it is the turn of America. The US has always been considered the country of opportunities, this being considered one of the most powerful world powers and the wide range of jobs that exist in that country. several years ago, migration from all parts of the world to the US has been considerable, mainly from countries close to this, such as México, Venezuela, Colombia, etc., but now the situation has changed drastically. Groups (thousands of people) have been organized to make a caravan on foot, with pregnant women, children, grandparents, etc. walk to cross borders and find better living conditions for its inhabitants, escaping the poverty and violence that dominates their places of origin. The caravan is composed mainly of people of Honduran nationality, of El Salvador and México. The US respons

Hi! Today I will write about my favorite movie "Dreams of freedom" or "The Shawshank redemption" based on a novel by Stephen King. The first time I saw this movie was more than 10 years ago with my mother, since it is also her favorite movie. “Dreams of freedom” is about a very influencing banker named Andrew Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins) who is accused of killing his wife and her lover in a fit of jealousy. Despite insisting on his innocence, andy is sentenced to double life for the murders. Inside prison, Andy becomes friends with Red (played by Morgan Freeman), another prisoner sentenced to life imprisonment, with whom he spends his days in detention. Hi everyone! Although we all know that postgraduate studies increase the chances of finding a good job and increasing the salary, I really do not know if I want to continue studying when I finish university. When I'm new to Universidad de Chile, I always imagine myself studying for many years, but once I'm in, I just want to finish my career, and start working (?) maybe Haha If I continue my studies, I would do it abroad, probably in Brazil, where social work (my future profession) has great exponents and has developed more deeply than in Chile, besides Brazil has a variety of public universities to choose from (50 to be exact) and more than 80 private. On the other hand, in my career we have three options to graduate, the first is to take classes in other courses of the university (3 per semester, besides the professional practice), the second option is to do a magister and the third is a diplomat. The option that I like most is to do the diplomat in "theories of so

MY FUTURE JOB I am a year away from graduation and I can´t imagine working yet, I feel that I need to know more things and I do not feel ready to enter the working world yet . I am studying social work and doing professional practice I have discovered that the area that I like the most in my career are the interventions with people deprived of liberty. I am currently collaborating in a foundation that works doing workshops inside the prisons on self-knowledge, soft skills workshops, among others and once the participants get out of jail, they are offered work so that they can have job opportunities and not return to the crime. I would like to work in the prisons because even if they are environments of abuse, drugs and a lot of violence, in a place where we must intervene urgently to change the reality of these people and improve their quality of life both inside the prison and once on freedom. The prisons in Chile have high rates of violence, overcrowding, drug consumptio
